These are starting rates. Every extension quote is individual, and you receive yours in writing at your complimentary consultation before anything is ordered.

What Moves a Quote Above the Starting Rate

Amount of hair. The single biggest factor. A subtle volume boost needs fewer wefts than a dramatic length transformation, and hair is the largest line item in the quote.

Number of rows or wefts. Most hand-tied clients need 2 to 4 rows. Denser hair or more ambitious length means more rows and more chair time.

Length. Longer extension hair costs more per weft, and the gap widens noticeably at the longer end.

Your stylist's level. Our stylists work across five levels based on experience and demand, the same system used across the rest of the menu. Extension installation is a specialized skill, and precision is what protects your natural hair.

Color customization. If you wear highlights, balayage or a lived-in blend, matching a single flat shade will not do. Custom-coloring the extension hair so the dimension carries through is extra work, and it is the difference between extensions that read as your hair and extensions that read as a panel underneath it.

The condition of your natural hair. Hair that is very short or heavily processed may need preparation first, or a different installation approach.

The Number That Actually Matters: Year One

Install price is the number people compare. Annual cost is the number that decides whether extensions fit your life.

Hand-tied, on a 6 to 8 week move-up cycle:

• Installation from $1,500
• Roughly 7 move-ups a year from $350 each, about $2,450
• Year one from roughly $4,000
• The hair itself lasts 9 to 12 months, so year two starts with a replacement cost again

Tape-in, on the same 6 to 8 week cycle:

• Installation from $800
• Roughly 7 re-tapes a year from $200 each, about $1,400
• Year one from roughly $2,200
• The hair lasts 4 to 6 months, so budget for replacement hair two to three times a year

Keratin bond, on a 3 to 4 month cycle: fewer appointments, but each reinstall uses fresh hair because the keratin tip is consumed at removal. We will work the annual figure out with you at consultation.

These are estimates built from our own starting rates, not quotes. They exclude color work, which most extension clients need on a similar cycle.

Where Extensions Are Worth Paying More

Two places, honestly.

The consultation and the color match. A bad color match is visible from across a room and cannot be fixed by anything except redoing it. Time spent matching is the cheapest insurance in the whole process, and at our salon it costs nothing.

The maintenance schedule. Move-ups look like the skippable expense and they are the one thing you should never skip. Almost every case of extension damage traces back to a row left in too long, not to the install.

Where You Can Sensibly Spend Less

• Start with tape-ins if you are not certain extensions are for you. Roughly half the entry cost, and a genuine answer for under a thousand dollars.
• Go for volume rather than maximum length. Length is where the hair cost climbs fastest.
• Consider a partial install. Extensions do not have to be a full head. Face-framing pieces or a single row for volume is a real option.
• Consider keratin bonds if the appointment cadence is your constraint rather than the money — 3 to 4 months between visits instead of 6 to 8 weeks.
