What to Expect at Your Lash Extension Appointment

If you've never had lash extensions before, here's what a typical appointment looks like at Lee Graves Salon:

1. Consultation — Your technician will discuss the look you want, assess your natural lashes (length, density, health), and recommend the right extension type, length, and curl. Bring reference photos if you have them.
2. Preparation — You'll lie comfortably on a treatment bed with your eyes closed. Your technician will place under-eye pads to protect your lower lashes and cleanse the lash area.
3. Application — Using precision tweezers and medical-grade adhesive, your technician isolates each natural lash individually and bonds the extension(s) to it. This process is painless — most clients relax or even nap during the appointment.
4. Drying and check — Once application is complete, a small fan helps set the adhesive. Your technician will check for any sticking or discomfort.
5. Review — You'll see your new lashes in a mirror and your technician will walk through aftercare instructions.

Full set appointments take 90 minutes to 3 hours depending on the type. Fill appointments take 45-90 minutes.

• Don't pull, rub, or pick at your extensions — this can damage your natural lashes and pull extensions out prematurely
• Sleep on your back or side when possible. Sleeping face-down crushes extensions against the pillow and causes them to fall out faster
• Avoid waterproof mascara on your extensions. If you want extra oomph for a special occasion, use an extension-safe mascara on the tips only
• Skip the eyelash curler — extensions are already curled, and a mechanical curler can break them
