Is Hairspray Right for You?

For those of us who lived through the 80's and 90's with big hair, it's no question. But if you are new to the hairspray game, this will be helpful for you.
There are so many types of hairspray out there now. It really can be overwhelming to figure out which one will work best for you. We actually recommend having two different hairsprays depending on your lifestyle.
Firm Hold Hairspray
A firm hold hairspray can be a life saver if you are going into the office every day and you need your hair to stay curled and out of your eyes or even just back away from your face. You just simply spray your hair, holding the hairspray 6 inches away from your head on the areas that you need to hold in place. The hairspray actually stays in all day and there is no need to brush through your hair or run your fingers through during the day. If you don't have time to touch up your hair during the day, this is the hairspray for you.
Humidity Resistant Hairspray
A humidity resistant hairspray is great for someone with curly hair on humid days, which is most of the time in Texas. Simply spray the hairspray on your hair before you walk out the door. This will help hold your hair in place and keep it from absorbing the outdoor moisture in the air. Let the hairspray dry before you actually walk out into the weather.
Working Hairspray
A working hairspray is great for someone who likes to get a lot of volume and lift in their hair. You will need to work the hairspray into your hair as you are styling it and scrunching it and putting the right pieces in place. This spray will take a little longer to dry, allowing you to move the hair into the place you want before it dries.
Medium Hold Hairspray
A medium hold hairspray is between a working hairspray and a firm hairspray. Still great for the office but it's more moveable during the day and may need to be re-sprayed if you are going to another event and it needs a little pepping up.
When Hairspray Isn't for You
If you like silky straight hair and don't have flyaways and really don't care if your hair stays in place and you don't need the volume, then hairspray may not be for you. We believe hairspray is a fit for most people but obviously not all.
