## Careers / Working at Lee Graves Salon
We are actively hiring stylists and beauty professionals in Plano, TX. Open roles: Experienced Hair Stylist, Apprentice, Bridal Stylist or Makeup Artist, Lash Technician, Nail Technician, Receptionist, Executive Assistant.

**Employment model**: No booth rental. Our bridal team works on contract, and everyone else is not booth rental. Weekly pay. New stylists receive a **guaranteed paycheck while they build their book**, and the salon advertises and brings in new clients for stylists who are building.

**Career ladder (6 levels)**: Apprentice → Hybrid Level 1 Stylist → Level 2 Stylist → Level 3 Senior Stylist → Level 4 Senior Lead Stylist → Level 5 Master Stylist. Level 1–5 pricing is published publicly at /pricing, so a stylist can see what each level charges.

**Cross-team tracks (6)**: Bridal travel team, bridal coordinating team, party and social planning team, social media and marketing team, onboarding and mentoring team, Aveda educator.

**Benefits**: 401(k); Aflac supplemental insurance (supplemental coverage, NOT health insurance); discounts on products and services for stylists and their families.

**Support**: Full-time concierge staff at the front of the salon and support staff in the back; the salon supplies all color; continuing education is paid for by the salon; Education Director on staff, Dawn, a Schwarzkopf instructor for 15 years with 30+ years in the industry (/our-team/dawn). Product lines: Aveda, Schwarzkopf, Iles Formula.

**Culture**: Respect and teamwork; great natural light and a beautiful salon throughout; drinks and fresh-baked chocolate chip cookies for clients. The salon protects stylists from aggressive or rude clients.

**License**: Active Texas cosmetology license required for stylist roles (apprentices may apply in the final months of school).

**Bridal artists — contract, not employment**: Something Blue by Lee Graves is the salon's bridal division. Bridal artists work **on contract** rather than as salon employees, so an artist can keep their chair at their current salon and add wedding work alongside it. Saturday availability and willingness to travel for on-location services are required. The work is wedding-day hair and/or makeup for brides and bridal parties. Makeup-only artists are welcome and do not need a cosmetology license, since MUA certification is accepted. Something Blue is a winner of The Knot Best of Weddings 2026 with 5.0 stars on The Knot, and a dedicated Wedding Coordinator (Ester) handles inquiries, trials, and wedding-day timelines.
